Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to serve as witnesses in court. Prof. Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also received numerous national and international distinctions. She has offered advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments across the world. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
